WHAT SHOULD CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING A SKI RESORT?

First, we must consider weather conditions that may occur on the date we are going skiing. This will depend on the mountain range in which this ski resort is situated as it could vary greatly from one another. For example, if our residence is located in Alicante, we should evaluate whether going to the ski resorts in Iberian System or going to Sierra Nevada, because while in one we can enjoy a fantastic day of sun, in other the conditions may be very adverse.

Assuming that by proximity have decided to ski in the same mountain range, the weather conditions will be very similar with almost total security, so we have to take into account specific aspects of each ski station, as the presence of more luxuriant vegetation that reduces wind gusts on piste.

Aside the time, another important aspect is our level of skiing, so we must assess the level of the ski resort, not worthwhile to go to those in which we paid for a large expanse of kilometers we will not use, so we can go to smaller resorts where the pass price will be lower.

Finally, we will also consider other factors such as snow quality, alternative activities if we are family, access to resort and walk to piste, and other factors which i´m going to speak in the next entries.

  1. This post has seemed to me very interesting, because I live in Teruel and often, according to the wind, I have to ski in Valdelinares and not in Javalambre, since Valdelinares is more protected by the trees.
